Top 20 in Türkiye’s Export Champions List

The Turkish Exporters Assembly announced the 2020 Export Champions. World Medicine ranked among the top 20 in its sector in the “Top 1,000 Exporting Companies of Türkiye - 2020” survey. Stating that the company exported to 26 countries in 2017 and reached a position of exporting to 35 countries in 2020, Sohrab Mammadli, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of World Medicine, said: “In the Top 1,000 Exporting Companies of Türkiye survey, we made a major leap compared to the previous year and rose by 129 places. Through our investments and activities, we aim to continue progressing toward the top in the export of chemical substances and products.”

The 28th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the 2020 Export Champions Award Ceremony were held recently. In the “Top 1,000 Exporting Companies of Türkiye - 2020” survey, World Medicine achieved a significant breakthrough compared to the previous year, climbing 129 places and ranking 203rd among all companies operating across different sectors in Türkiye. In sectoral exports, World Medicine ranked 19th based on its export share.

We made a major leap compared to the previous year

Stating that World Medicine has maintained a strong momentum of growth since 2011, Sohrab Mammadli, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of World Medicine, said: “While we were exporting to 26 countries in 2017, by 2020 we had reached a position where we were exporting to 35 countries. Our success story, which began in 2016 with a ninth-place award in the ‘Pharmaceutical Products Exports’ category, continued in 2017 with the ‘Fastest Rising Company in Exports’ award and a third-place award in the ‘Pharmaceutical Products Exports’ category. In 2018, we received the Stars of Export third-place award. In 2019, thanks to our successful export performance, we ranked second in İKMİB’s ‘Stars of Export - Pharmaceutical Exports’ category. As World Medicine, this year we also entered the ISO 500 list, surpassing many pharmaceutical and pharmacy companies that had appeared in previous years, and ranked 5th in our sector.”

Emphasizing that in 2020 they reached the top in İKMİB’s “Stars of Export - Pharmaceutical Exports” awards, Sohrab Mammadli said: “Step by step, with these awards that reflect the return on our efforts, we have achieved our goal. Now, in the ‘Top 1,000 Exporting Companies of Türkiye - 2020’ survey, we have made a major leap compared to the previous year and climbed 129 places. We ranked 19th in sector-based exports. As always, our goal is to continue advancing toward the top in exports in the field of chemical substances and products through our investments and activities.
