The Stars of Export Awards, organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB) to honor and encourage member companies for their export achievements in the chemicals sector, have found their winners. At the sixth edition of the İKMİB Stars of Export Awards 2020, World Medicine was granted the first-place award in pharmaceutical exports.
Receiving the award from Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay, Sohrab Mammadli, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of World Medicine, stated, “As World Medicine, we have achieved strong growth momentum in Türkiye, where we have been operating since 2011. While we were exporting to 26 countries in 2017, we increased this number to 35 in 2020. Our success story, which began in 2016 with a ninth-place award in the ‘Pharmaceutical Products Exports’ category, continued in 2017 with the ‘Fastest Rising Company in Exports’ award and a third-place award in ‘Pharmaceutical Products Exports.’ In 2018, we received the Stars of Export Third Place Award. Last year, with our successful export performance, we ranked second in İKMİB’s ‘Stars of Export - Pharmaceutical Exports’ category. This year, World Medicine also entered the ISO 500 list, surpassing many pharmaceutical and pharmacy companies that had appeared in previous years and ranking 5th in its sector. With this award, which is the result of our step-by-step efforts, we have achieved our goal of reaching the top. What matters now is to make this success sustainable and maintain our place at the top. I would like to thank everyone who contributed.”
